Gleason High School – Gymnasium & Classroom Addition

The Weakley County School Board engaged Fleming Architects to not only design and construct a new gymnasium addition for Gleason High school, but also to create a meeting space where the community and the school could collaborate. The new 1500 seat gymnasium includes retractable bleachers, two practice basketball courts, and a main regulation basketball court, making it large enough to host regional tournaments and community events. The addition also includes classrooms, offices and a shop classroom.

Gleason High School Girls’ Basketball won Class A State Championships in 1992, 1999 and 2007 and produced three Tennessee Class A High School “Miss Basketball” recipient’s in 1996, 1999 and 2007.
