Project Details

Hope Presbyterian Church - Sanctuary

In 1996, Fleming began a phased, long-term, 300,000 SF project with Hope Church. The project started with Hope’s original sanctuary and culminated with the new 5,000 seat sanctuary, which was completed in 2007.  Fleming Architects worked with the church leadership and the congregation at large, and kept the members engaged in the design processes through regular presentations of renderings, models, and computer graphics.  The new sanctuary space included a full production stage, complete with a sophisticated backstage area, which included green rooms, staging areas, production rooms and an overhead catwalk system.  The sanctuary itself was designed with lower ceilings and rich tones in order to give an intimate feel to the large space.  This project also included a bookstore and large space lobby, used for fellowship and gatherings.

“We have used Fleming Architects on every building campaign we’ve had for 20 years. They have always been attentive and responsive to our needs before and after every single project. They are a great group with which to work...
