Palmer Home for Children Chapel

Fleming Architects has a long-standing relationship with the Palmer Home for children, which is a charitable, non-profit corporation that provides a stable, long-term home for Children who lack an adequate family structure. Over the years, Fleming has collaborated with Palmer Home on many projects, one of which was designing of the entire Palmer Home campus in Hernando, consisting of a lodge, cabins and a chapel.  The Chapel at the Palmer Home has been described as the most beautiful worship space in Mississippi, and it is located in the center of campus, symbolizing the Love of God being the center of the Palmer Home mission. The 130 seat chapel overlooks a 72 acre lake, giving worshipers the feeling of being surrounded by nature. The chapel also includes a bridal suite and support spaces.

When Palmer Home for Children decided to do something it had never done in our 112 year history, Fleming Architects were who we trusted to guide us through our expansion in the Hernando area. Scott Fleming and his team were very patient, flexible, and always professional as they guided us in taking our various ideas and turning them into workable solutions for our campus. Function combined with creative details rewarded us with designs that will beautifully serve our needs for years to come.
