Fleming Architects joined with Resurrection Health, an evangelical primary care organization that serves low-income Memphians, to design their first permanent clinic location. The project consisted of a renovation of an existing medical clinic and predominantly included interior finish upgrades. Upgrades to the interior included the addition of bright paint colors, patterned corridor floors, and wood finishes that allow the space to feel inviting and comfortable. The new center houses prenatal care, pediatrics, women’s health, HIV/ AIDS care, adult and geriatric medicine, general surgery areas, and administrative spaces.
Resurrection Health needed to open their new clinic as soon as possible, so the design and renovation had to be completed within an extremely condensed timeline. The clinic was designed, constructed, and finished within a timespan of only four months.
